Why don’t you proudly display the CCW Breakaways brand logo on the outside of your pants?

Because our mission comes first: Protecting Families and Saving Lives. Your tactical advantage in using our product is that you will not be ID’d. You have a tactical advantage during the pre-conflict phase if you’re not telegraphing your concealed carry weapon.

 

How are the pants designed to fit?

The CCW Breakaways pant was designed to fit a broad range of body types. Research indicates that the “Relaxed Fit” serves best job in concealing a firearm. This provides for more room in the seat, thigh, and across the hips. This design also helps prevent gun printing and aids with ease of withdrawal.

 

I'm left-handed. Can CCW Breakaways Pants work for me?

The CCW Breakaways pant works for both right-handed and left-handed individuals. Both front pockets are constructed similarly. Weapons can be stored and carried in either pocket. The same holds true for our MagSocks. Both pockets “break away” for quick gun removal.

 

How do I adjust these pockets for different size guns?

When you purchase the product, each garment has a hang tag. On the tag is a link to a “how to use this product” webpage. You can also follow the link here. Reviewing this webpage, you’ll learn how to adjust the pockets and deploy your firearm quickly.

 

How do I get the gun out of the pocket?

Simply reach into your pocket, grip the handle of your handgun with you finger OFF the trigger, and snap your wrist forward to deploy the pocket opening. It's that simple and that quick.

 

What if I do not want to carry a gun? Are these pockets able to adapt and accommodate normal pocket contents like keys and coins?

The pockets are easily adjusted to carry normal pocket contents. Please view the Learn More section on our website.

 

Is training necessary? Do I really need to practice?

Yes training is important to take full advantage of CCW Breakaways Pants and exercise safety.

How do I use a public restroom while wearing my CCW Breakaways Pants?

Most people who carry concealed weapons understand the complications of using a public restroom. With other CCW methods you need to secure your firearm and holster on top of a toilet-tank lid (if there is one), on a door hook, on an unbalanced paper holder, or between your legs. You also risk dropping your firearm on the floor and having it seen by others. Even worse, you risk forgetting your weapon because you removed it from your person.

CCW Breakaways simplifies this experience. When wearing the CCW Breakaways Pant, your restroom visits are uncomplicated and quick. Simply lower your pants and sit down. When you’re done, raise your pants and move on. Your firearm remains concealed in your pocket the entire time and never leaves your person.

In February 2010 USA Today published an article about firearms lost by Department of Homeland Security employees. Many employees lost their firearms while using the restroom. CCW Breakaways eliminates this concern and simplifies your experience. 

 

I really don’t need a holster . . . are you sure? And, “one-size-fits-all” . . . are you sure?

No, you can give up your expensive one-for-each-gun holsters. It is not necessary with this system. Please view our scenario videos, and you’ll see that it is possible to go holster-less. You’ll also see that you can change over from one gun to another in seconds. You’ll save time and money with the CCW Breakaways pant.

 

Your disguised and expandable pocket is highly customizable with all the Velcro features . . . but what if I need even more customization?

We’ve tried to accommodate every gun combination conceivable, but if there’s still something more that you need, we have seen customers further customize their pockets with safety pins and custom sewing. These techniques can tighten or position a unique gun in the pocket effectively.

 

Why do you have a Product Liability Statement on your inside tags ?

CCW Breakaways wants to protect all of its stakeholders, which includes customers, distributors and employees. We need to ensure that no one misunderstands the intended purpose of our product. Our Breakaways pants will not shield the wearer from guns, bullets, edged weapons, or other piercing hostilities. We encourage the practice of safe gun handling. Why are all the pants manufactured from cotton?

While cotton/poly blends are less expensive, 100% cotton is more ideal for comfort and durability. The CCW Breakaways pants are designed for comfort, flexibility, and mobility. 100% cotton meets all of these demands and provides the best solution.

 

How do I care for my CCW Breakaways pant? Are the CCW Breakaways Pants machine washable? Can I iron them?

There is a “Care Tag” sewn into every pair of pants with detailed care instructions. Yes, they are machine washable. And yes, they can be ironed.

 

Will CCW Breakaways pants shrink? Do I need to consider a size larger than I wear to anticipate shrinkage?

No, our fabrics are pre-washed before production. After production, we also press and package each pant to ensure size stability. This greatly mitigates shrinkage problems. While these steps add more costs they help us deliver a premium product-- one you can trust. We don’t skimp on anything. Our goal is quality, our aim is your satisfaction.

 

Does CCW Breakaways make pants for women?

We do not currently manufacture clothing for women. We hope to offer a line of clothing for women in the future.

 

Do I need a concealed carry license to purchase CCW Breakaways pants?

No, you do not need a CCW license to purchase or wear our pants. However, you will want to comply with your State laws when carrying a concealed firearm in our pants.

 

Are CCW Breakaways pants suitable for under cover law enforcement officials?

Yes, CCW Breakaways pants have been field tested by undercover FBI agents and have yielded positive results and feedback.

 

What’s the difference between the CCW Breakaways Pant and normal pants I can buy anywhere else? What’s the “Patent Pending” statement mean?

CCW Breakaways pants enable you to conceal a handgun and withdraw it with ease under stressful conditions due to the Patent Pending design.

The Patent Pending mark tells our customers that many years worth of engineering and testing have gone into producing this product. It is a thoroughly thought-through and intentional design. Four significant, innovations in the development of CCW Breakaways pants have led to patent applications being filed at the US Patent and Trademark Office. When the USPTO formally awards the patent, our products will reflect their official patent numbers. But more importantly, it indicates that you can only purchase this innovative pant from CCW Breakaways.

 

What is vanity sizing?

Vanity size labeling  is the practice of marking a garment "smaller" than it actually is. This practice allows the buyer to think he or she is thinner. This practice has been in place for decades with women's clothing. It is now becoming prevalent in men's clothing as well. We think this practice is vain... and deceptive. CCW Breakaways does not practice vanity size labeling. We encourage our customers to measure themselves before purchasing our products. Our garments are marked "True to Size." For example, if you order a waistband size 36, the garment will be 36" to 37".

Why do CCW Breakaways pants not project a gun print?

The "printing" that occurs in a typical pocket is due to where a typical pocket is located. Most men's pockets are sized from the outside seam of the pant leg to the center of the thigh, and thus the gun rides on the outside radius of a man's leg... and therefore projects a gun print. The pockets usually do not extend below the hip line of flexure either which makes it very uncomfortable to carry a gun.

Our patent pending pockets extend from the outside seam to the inner-most thigh region, and the firearm rests below the hip line of flexure. This space in the human anatomy permits a gun to be neatly tucked away without printing. Refer to our inside-out photos of our pocket construction to understand this concept more visually here.

 

Are the MagSocks capable of storing the various sized magazines on the market?

Yes. Our MagSocks were designed to accommodate most all magazine styles on the market today-- single stacks, double stacks, bottlenecks. While there are significant dimensional differences between a 22LR magazine and a 45ACP magazine, our MagSocks provide the most efficient way to manage your spare magazines for the best concealment and fastest reloading possible. MagSocks are available in Single Stack and Double Stack styles.

 

Do you sell shorts?

Yes, you can order shorts on our website.

 

Do you sell cuffed pants?

No, our pants do not have cuffs. However, if you desire cuffed pants you could buy the longer length inseams, and have local cleaners or tailor alter them to your preference.

 

What is CCW Breakaways returns/exchange policy?

General Merchandise

If you change your mind or you discover that you ordered the wrong size, we will accept merchandise for returns/exchanges within 14 days of your invoice date. All returns/exchanges must be in new, unused condition. All returns/exchanges must be authorized by us. Please contact us via phone or email for shipping instructions. You will have to pay for shipping of these items back to us.  You will also have to pay for shipping on exchanges back to you.

If your order shipped free due to our free shipping offer and the total order falls below $200 after a return, the actual shipping fees will be deducted from your refund/credit.

We encourage all customers to measure your waists because CCW Breakaways pants are “true-to-size.” You shouldn’t rely on the sizing of your existing pants. 

 

Defective Merchandise

If the item(s) you wish to return is defective, we will accept it back for exchange. Please contact us via phone or email for shipping instructions. Please do not attempt to self-repair a defective item, doing so will void your ability to return the item. Return shipping costs (round trip) for defective items are paid by CCW Breakaways.

 

Damaged Merchandise

Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with apparent shipping damage, please contact us immediately via phone or email for instructions. Save all packaging material and paperwork, take photos, and do not throw anything away.
